Senior Mechanical Fitter - Hydraulics

Requirements:

Experience in the marine sector.
Computer literacy with experience in creating reports.
The candidate should be able to read and create hydraulic schematics.
Minimum ND Mechanical Engineering – Ideally BEng, BTech or BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
Hydraulics Certificate: Possess a certificate or qualification related to hydraulics to demonstrate expertise in hydraulic systems.
Trade Theory: Strong understanding of trade theory relevant to hydraulic equipment and machinery.

This position will entail working alongside Artisans and their Assistants in the company's workshop and/or on site.
Expected duties will include, but are not limited to the below:

Working alongside staff and management, as well as Customers and Superintendents.
Assisting Artisans (both in workshop and on site) daily to ensure that work is accurate, and jobs are completed to company standards.
Troubleshooting and fault finding hydraulic and pneumatic systems, both on and off site.
Testing and commissioning of hydraulic systems.
Design of hydraulic systems using industry standard components.
Maintenance of hydraulic components such as cylinders, motors, cranes, and power packs.
The Hydraulic Engineer will be required to conduct themselves to a high standard, in accordance with what is expected by the company.
Cleanliness, timeliness, and excellent communication are non-negotiable.
Time cards to be submitted daily.
Occasional overtime where necessary.
