This is an exciting leadership role with travel opportunities!Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Project Management: Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to conduct comprehensive site assessments, ensuring optimized mechanical systems for energy and facilities management.Mechanical Systems Expertise: Oversee HVAC, plumbing, piping, and machinery systems, driving performance improvements and ensuring reliability.Resource Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and sustainability in mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.Master Planning: Develop tailored energy, water, and waste management plans for each site, promoting long-term sustainability and cost-effectiveness.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external partners to design and execute innovative solutions across new and existing facilities.Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet ISO standards and company protocols.Health & Safety Leadership: Champion health and safety best practices across all projects, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.Mechanical Systems Analysis:Conduct detailed inspections of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and machinery to identify maintenance needs and system improvements.Provide recommendations for enhancing mechanical system efficiency, reducing costs, and improving reliability.Ensure mechanical systems comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.Perform risk assessments and identify areas for optimization.Stay ahead of industry trends, introducing innovative solutions to improve system performance and sustainability.What We're Looking For:Education: BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, with an advanced Degree preferred. Project Management certification is a plus.Experience: 10+ years in mechanical systems engineering, especially within the built environment, property, or facilities management sectors.Professional Registration: Registered with a recognized engineering body (ECSA); SACPCMP registration is advantageous.Certifications: CEA, CEM, CMVP, CHD, BEMP, or similar certifications are highly desirable.Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and experience in design management and project leadership.Project Management: Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, delivering results on time and within budget.Legislation Knowledge: Familiar with relevant legislation, codes, and industry guidelines.Software Proficiency: Skilled in CAD, mechanical modeling, and project management software such as MS Project.Apply now!
