Senior Mechanical Draughtsperson

SA - Western Cape, Cape Town - CBDR 60 000 - R 63 000 (Market related)A well- established engineering company is looking for an experienced Senior mechanical draughts person who is a team player, who can work under pressure and has meticulous attention to detail.
This candidate must have experience in piping and plant layout in the petrochemical industrySalary: Market Related Minimum requirements: Post-matric draughting qualification or equivalent experienceMinimum of two years experience in a technical drawing office with mechanical and piping drawingsProficient in AutoCADGood understanding of the engineering environmentUnderstanding of the relevant standards and design codesExperience in petrochemical-type drawing office or similar Responsibilities: Transferring of engineering sketches and specifications to detailed design and working drawingsDevelopment of piping and equipment general arrangement drawingsPreparing isometric drawings for pipeworkDeveloping equipment layouts to engineering specification or conceptual drawingsResponsible for ensuring that drawings produced comply with company standards and proceduresResponsible for ensuring that drawings produced comply with relevant national/international standards, statutes and design codesResponsible for ensuring the dimensional accuracy of all work producedSite measurement of equipment, buildings and structures as requiredAssess draughting requirements on a weekly basis, prioritise work packages (liaising with Operations Director when required) and allocation of appropriate draughting resourcesEnsure all drawings leaving the office are of a high quality, are complete, accurate and comply with the company standards.Ad hoc tasks as requested by managementComply with company HR Policy and Procedures manual Consultant: Shervon Kamoo - Dante Personnel Pretoria Faerie Glen
