SENIOR MATHEMATICS TEACHERThe Boys' College invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who believe they have the required skills and competences to take on this position which will be available from 01 May 2025.
The requirements for this position are:A proven academic record and appropriate experience, including Grade 8 – 12 Mathematics teachingAbility to teach Further Studies Mathematics would be advantageousA suitable professional qualification and a minimum 5 years appropriate educational experienceExperience in developing learning and teaching material and assessment practices according to IEB requirements and the needs of the learners, at both GET and FET levelsAcademic experience in an IEB Matric marking would be an advantageEnthusiasm to embrace rapid changes in education and an interest and ability to integrate IT and online approaches into your teaching and learning, and to teach Mathematics in a multi-layered classroomA high level of organisational, managerial and administrative skillsPassion for teaching young people who seek to become significant in a modern worldAbility to inspire and encourage boys to seek and maintain high standards of performanceWillingness to work within the Christian ethos and mission of the College and the values upheld by the CollegeAn unequivocal commitment to working as part of an accomplished team of enthusiastic educators and to develop exciting and creative materialA sound and progressive understanding of the South African curriculum and international trends in educationCommitment to on-going personal and professional developmentAn awareness of the nature of the school and willingness to commit to its all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approachProof of registration with SACE supported by a sexual offender's clearance certificateTo apply please click on the following link before the closing date of 6 December 2024: Apply Here.
