Senior Materials Technician

Requirements:NDip/BTech (Civil Engineering) - idealMinimum 8+ years' experience road construction materials laboratory testingExperience on national roads projects would be an advantagePrevious experience as senior materials technician or laboratory manager would be beneficialHave experience with MS Office SuiteDrivers licence essential Key responsibilities:Responsible for acceptance control of construction materials used on siteSupervision of the clients acceptance control road materials laboratory on siteManage materials testing workflowEnsure the site laboratory performs to agreed testing timetableInspection and quality control of the contractors worksReview test results and manage acceptance control processArrange duplicate testing of materialsReview and provide feedback on mix designsReports directly to the Resident EngineerAssist the RE with administrative dutiesPrepare and submit monthly materials and laboratory reports to the REPrepare earthworks and layerworks progress sheetsPrepare and update materials testing data packs for as-built purposes in accordance with the clients requirements
