This role PayJoy is hiring a Senior Marketing Manager for South Africa to drive growth in our B2B2C retail channel and B2C online and offline channels. You are an all-rounder marketer with a strong orientation towards data-driven marketing. You will have a track record of experimentation, testing and showing results at scale through growth marketing, brand marketing and 360 marketing.
As Senior Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans to attract potential customers, retain existing ones and help with the cross-selling strategy for the smartphone financing business. You will manage and coordinate campaigns (online and offline) to meet growth targets in partnership with the sales team.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute marketing strategy for South Africa, with end to end budget ownership and accountability for vintage gross margin against marketing investment.Drive in-store marketing across retail network with thousands of points of sale, including:Align on joint marketing strategies with B2B retail partners and OEMsEnsure coherent brand and messages throughout the customer journeyCo-ordinate with suppliers and field force sales team to ensure high coverage of quality materials at all points of saleDrive growth through seasonal and always on marketingEnsure strong local brand identity in PR and customer campaigns. Invest to develop local brand identity and appropriate positioning in B2C and B2B2C marketingDrive B2C business through B2C retail channel and digital campaigns to drive customer acquisition and retentionPartner with Country Manager and Head of Sales to implement and scale new go to market business model (new channels, new products, etc)RequirementsAt least 5+ years of experienceFluency in EnglishTrack record of results in digital marketing, branding, and media expertise, with a strong bias for actionFamiliarity with basic SQL analysisExperience in trade marketing, POS material and in-store merchandisingExperience with digital marketing and advertising, including Google and Facebook Ads, and other direct to consumer acquisition channelsExperience taking new brands to scale including establishing agency relationships, new processes and other mechanismsMarketing-led growth in a startup environmentStrong project management to lead and execute all elements of marketing programs, including budget, planning, and reportingPR background - public relationsPayJoy is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and we welcome and encourage people of all backgrounds.
