Position Senior Marketing Manager
Job Purpose To formulate and manage the implementation of the marketing strategy and plan in support of the Nedbank business strategy.
Job Responsibilities Develop the marketing and communication strategy and plan by understanding business strategy and client insights. Oversee tasks, resources, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure relevant, timeous implementation of initiatives as per the signed-off marketing plan. Measure campaign effectiveness by applying the Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) principles. Meet business objectives by recommending, managing, and controlling the marketing budget. Minimise cost to income ratio by providing input to operational budgets. Ensure transformational targets are met for own team through consideration of targets during the staff recruitment, retention, and training process and utilising suppliers listed on the preferred supplier list. Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g., staff surveys etc.). Address issues raised in culture surveys by participating in the development and implementation of action plans. Create a client service culture through various required interventions. Support and encourage staff to participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives. Achieve operational excellence by supporting the implementation of business optimisation improvement through team engagement. Encourage the team to generate innovative ideas and share knowledge. Influence the Client Value Proposition (CVP) to ensure relevance based on understanding the target market. Implement relevant marketing and communications in support of the CVP by using client and market insights. Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of marketing initiatives. Drive research to inform relevance. Minimum Experience Level 8 - 10 years in marketing with at least 4 years in digital marketing and 3 - 5 years in management Essential Qualifications - NQF Level Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees Preferred Qualification Postgraduate qualification in Marketing and Communications or Commerce Technical / Professional Knowledge Budgeting Employee training/development Governance, Risk and Controls Managerial Accounting Principles Relevant regulatory knowledge Strategic planning Disclaimer Preference will be given to candidates from the underrepresented groups.
