The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to establish the Company as the premier telecommunications provider in West Africa.
This role requires a dynamic and experienced marketing professional who can lead a team, drive brand awareness, and achieve business growth objectives.
The candidate should also be open to course-correcting as needed, based on management direction
Key Responsibilities
1.
Strategic Planning
Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan tailored to the West African marketIdentify market opportunities and customer needs to drive growth and market penetrationSet clear objectives and KPIs to measure the success of marketing initiatives2.
Brand Management
Lead the development and positioning of the Company brand in West AfricaEnsure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels and materialsOversee the creation of compelling marketing content, including advertisements, promotional materials, and digital assets3.
Campaign Management
Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, radio, and outdoor mediaCollaborate with creative agencies and media partners to deliver impactful campaignsAnalyze campaign performance and optimize strategies to maximize ROI4.
Market Research and Analysis
Conduct market research to gain insights into customer preferences, competitor activities, and industry trendsUtilize data and analytics to inform marketing strategies and decision-makingPrepare regular reports on market conditions, campaign performance, and customer feedback5.
Team Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development.Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that drives resultsSet clear goals and expectations, conducting regular performance reviews6.
Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer service, to align marketing efforts with business objectivesEstablish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, vendors, and community organizationsRepresent the Company at industry events, conferences, and community activities7.
Budget Management
Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resourcesMonitor expenditures and ensure marketing activities are cost-effective and within budget.8.
Digital Marketing
Oversee digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketingEnsure the company''s online presence is strong, engaging, and aligns with brand valuesLeverage digital tools and platforms to enhance customer engagement and loyalty.Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plusLanguage:
Proficiency in French is highly desirableExperience:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior management roleProven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaignsExperience in the telecommunications industry is highly desirableSkills
Strong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in digital marketing tools and platformsAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditionsStrong project management skills and attention to detail
