Job description:The Senior Manager: Strategic Sourcing is responsible for the development of the organization's sourcing strategy for raw materials and the implementation thereof across all business units. The strategy shall span a period of three years and must be informed by the relevant technical operational requirements of each operating unit. The manager will also work together with the Strategy team on the longer-term strategy (five to ten years). Further, the strategy must be informed by current leading industry best practices and evolving market technologies relating to primary and secondary raw materials, scrap and logistics in the iron and steel making processes. This role is also responsible for the development of an appropriate sourcing strategy, informed by the ongoing assessment and development of market participants and their capabilities within the supply chain. Finally, this role will be responsible for ensuring that operating units benefit from the lowest realized value in use cost of ownership pertaining to sourcing as required by operations. Minimum requirementsQualifications:Applicable B. Honours or B.
