PURPOSE OF ROLE
To manage and drive the strategic project development, new business opportunities and enquiry responses for the Industrial Division. To engage on a technical and commercial manner with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions, supported by the Industrial engineering team, for those needs.
The role is responsible for new project and business development and marketing for the Industrial Division. Together with the Managing Executive: Industrial, the role will evaluate and define the overall business and marketing strategy for the Industrial Division in Lesedi which will be in line with Lesedi's vision and mission.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Compile and manage the Industrial Division's project and business development recordsMonitor and ensure effective responses to enquiries from the market in the Industrial DivisionBe part of the Industrial Division's management team, working to develop and drive the division's strategyMaintain relationships with Technology PartnersManage the Industrial Division's proposals development processDrive the process of tenders and proposals within the Industrial DivisionReview all proposals for technical and commercial completeness to ensure high quality, competitiveness and prudence QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE B.Eng or B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering10 years project management, business development and/or process engineering experience (combined experience ideal) KNOWLEDGE & BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
Knowledge:
Knowledge of general technical and process solutions for industrial sectorsUnderstanding of business/project development environmentKnowledge of marketing to support development of marketing strategiesKnowledge of business markets, competitors, positioning and commercial strategyKnowledge of BEE legislation and company's BEE statusKnowledge of Lesedi (history, current status, positioning, etc.)Knowledge of company's technical competencies, accreditations, past experienceKnowledge of Business Strategy decisions and marketing implicationsKnowledge of current Business Development initiatives, tenders, gatekeeper requirementsKnowledge of B2B market dynamics and commercial gatekeepers
