Senior Manager: Project Development (Oil, Gas and Power)Purpose of the role:To manage and drive (supported by an appropriate team and the organisation) the strategic project development, new business opportunities and enquiry responses for the Oil, Gas & Power Division. To engage on a technical and commercial manner with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions, supported by the Oil, Gas & Power engineering team.This position is for the Senior Manager: Project Development in the Oil, Gas & Power Division, based in Cape Town, Western Cape.Key Performance Areas:Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex opportunities from inception to contract awardOversee multiple opportunities and tasks simultaneously, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budget constraintsManage and mitigate opportunity risks and issuesFoster strong relationships with project developers, project finance providers, technology partners, clients, and cross-functional teamsCompile and manage the Oil, Gas & Power Division's project and business development recordsMonitor and ensure effective responses to enquiries and tenders from the marketBe part of the Oil, Gas & Power Division's management team, working with the rest of the management team to develop and drive the Oil, Gas & Power Division's strategyDelegate and follow-up on deliverables during business and project development activitiesAs part of the management team, provide inputs and support execution of operational activities to ensure an effective teamB2B relationships and networkingOwn and drive the process of tenders and proposals within the Oil, Gas & Power DivisionReview – for technical and commercial completeness – all proposals or submissions, with the aim to be of high quality, competitive and prudentAttend industry forums and conferences to broaden Lesedi's network in the industrial, oil, gas and power space.Drive continuous improvement in project development processes and methodologiesQualifications:Eng or B.Sc. – Chemical / Process / Mechanical Engineering or equivalentMBA – Master of Business Administration (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA accreditation) will be advantageousExperience:15+ years engineering design, project management, project development and/or business development experience.
