Plans, prepares, motivates and reviews annual operating budgets, capital budgets, and project priorities.
 Manages and guides the performance, training and conduct of staff.
 Plans, directs, co-ordinates and ensures implementation of all environmental health, nursing and community health programmes as directed by National, Provincial and Council priorities.
Manages technical and logistical support teams during emergencies.
Undertakes research into problem areas within the Primary Health Care arena and ensure priority areas are addressed.
Facilitates the establishment of area health management teams.
Manages all assets within the area, ensuring the maintenance and upgrade of healthcare facilities and that regular audits are undertaken.
Essential Requirements Degree (NQF Level 7) in Environmental Health or Nursing or related field.
Current registration with the HPCSA or SANC.
Valid motor vehicle driving license.
6 Years relevant experience of which 3 years must be at a management level.  Preferred Requirements Post graduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in Public Health Sciences.
