To drive the implementation and monitoring of the Risk Management Framework for the Standard Bank Group to ensure that risks are properly identified, assessed, managed and controlled within the organisation's Risk Appetite. Lead and drive the implementation and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Risk Management programme across the organisation to ensure consistent roll-out and alignment to Financial Conglomerate regulations and world class practices.
ResponsibilitiesLead the annual review and implementation of adherence to the Group Risk Management Framework, Risk Function Mandate and minimum standards and policies to ensure alignment to the Group and regulatory requirements.Identify opportunities to improve the Risk Management Framework, Strategic Risk Management standards and minimum requirements to optimally set the Risk Management Programme.Monitor and maintain the Risk Type library and taxonomy for the Standard Bank financial conglomerate, to ensure that for all risk types (including transversal risks) ownership is established, risks are identified, and actively managed across all Business Units, subsidiaries, regions, countries and jurisdictions where the organisation operates.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: First Degree in Business Commerce, Finance and Accounting, Risk ManagementPreferred: Post Graduate Degree in Business Commerce, Finance and Accounting, Risk Management, Engineering Sciences Study DirectionExperience RequiredEnterprise Risk Management

The role requires an individual with a thorough understanding of the end-to-end Risk Management Value Chain. Proven experience in risk management, compliance and regulatory role.
