After successfully securing a £45million investment to fuel our ongoing growth and to further invest in our AI products, we are hiring for a Senior Management Accountant to work with our Cape Town based Finance team. As a key member of the Finance team, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic financial insights, driving financial performance, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Theideal candidate will be either part or fully qualified and possess extensive experience in management accounting, preferably with proficiency in NetSuite.
Senior Management Accountant:What you'll be doing · Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts (balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow) for the Group's global companies on an accurate and timely basis
· Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Monitor variances and provide analysis to support decision-making
· Analyse costs and expenses to identify opportunities for optimization and cost-saving initiatives.
· Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions, assess financial performance, and identify areas for improvement
· Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled in accordance with GAAP
· Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the finance function.
· Utilize expertise in NetSuite to optimize the platform for financial reporting, analysis, and automation
· Preparation and submission of global tax filings (VAT/GST)
· Other ad hoc tasks and reporting as may be requested by the Group Finance Manager
Do you have what it takes? · At least 3 years' experience working in finance
· ACCA/ACA (or equivalent) fully or partly qualified
· Strong understanding of UK GAAP
· Background in practice with additional industry experience
· Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills are essential
· Experience using Oracle NetSuite essential
· Experience with foreign currency accounting
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across
departments.
· Organisational skills and multi-tasking abilities crucial
· Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines · Professional integrity and honesty
