RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer for a reputable mining company in the KZN area.

As a Senior Maintenance Engineer in the mining industry, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing maintenance activities for the company's mining equipment and infrastructure.
You will provide technical expertise, develop and implement maintenance strategies, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Your extensive experience and leadership skills will be instrumental in optimizing the performance and reliability of the mining operations.
Responsibilities Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team Oversee and manage maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of maintenance programs Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers Requirements BEng/BTech Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering GCC Mines & Works At least 8 years' relevant experience within a heavy industry/production/mining environment 3-5 Years' experience as a GCC Engineer Extensive Maintenance, Planning and Development, Hazard identification, Risk assessment, RCFA/ RCM facilitated and implemented, Procurement, Contract and Project Management experience Strong knowledge of mining equipment, processes, and maintenance practices Excellent leadership and communication skills Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement improvement initiatives Good understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the mining industry Proficient in using maintenance management systems Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Benefits Salary: negotiable Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable) Contact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.
