Senior Lecturer / Lecturer

Applicants are invited for the position of Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer Minimum requirements Senior Lecturer Doctorate in Food Science or Food Technology. A minimum of five years of teaching experience at a university level. Publications in DHET-accredited journals [minimum of three DHET-accredited publications over the preceding three years]. Evidence of successful supervision of postgraduate students [minimum of one Master's student]. Recipient of grant awards. Lecturer Master's degree in Food Science or Food Technology. Minimum of 3 years teaching/industrial experience. SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Teach food science, legislation, and/or food microbiology modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the Food Science/ Biotechnology Programmes and to all faculties to which the Faculty of Applied Sciences renders service in undergraduate and honours level programs. Manage/co-ordinate academic and research portfolios. Supervise undergraduate/postgraduate students. Participate in community engagement projects. Perform other duties as determined by the Head of Department.
