CORE PURPOSE OF JOBTo lecture at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, conduct and publish research within the disciplines of Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Employment Relations and Human Resource Management.
To supervise postgraduate students, and deal with administrative work.
To co-ordinate the Master of Commerce Industrial Psychology programme.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREASFacilitate teaching and learning of Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Employment Relations and Human Resources at undergraduate and postgraduate levelsConduct and publish research in accredited journals and present research papers at conferences.Supervise postgraduate students (Honours and Masters)Co-ordinate postgraduate programmesProvide academic administration and academic leadershipWork closely with the other members of the Department of Industrial and Organisational Psychologyas well as those from the School of Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management

Be in possession of a doctoral degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology.Be professionally registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an Industrial Psychologist.Have experience or demonstrate competency to co-ordinate Masters programmes.Have experience in facilitating training within industry or preferably lecturing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.Have published research articles in accredited journals and research findings at conferences.Have a track record of successful research supervision and examination of postgraduate students.To be considered for appointment to the Associate Professor post, candidates must:
Be in possession of a doctoral degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology.Be professionally registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an Industrial Psychologist.Have experience in lecturing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.Have relevant leadership experience.Have published journal articles in accredited journals.Have presented research findings at conferences.Have a track record of successful research supervision of postgraduate students.
