The Department of Molecular Medicine and Haematology in the School of Pathology of the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of the Witwatersrand, is a highly productive, research-intensive entity conducting cutting-edge life science research at clinical, cellular and molecular levels.
This work has a direct impact on understanding, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of human disease.
The Department teaches more than ten undergraduate courses in eight-degree programs managed by several course coordinators.
The department offers postgraduate courses at honours, master's and doctoral levels, with more than 40 postgraduate students annually.
