We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ITSM Asset and Configuration Management Specialist to join our team.
In this key role, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, and implementation of our Asset and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Your expertise will ensure that all ICT hardware and software assets are accurately documented and easily accessible, while also managing the relationships between configuration items (CIs) that support our organization's services, systems, and applications.

Duties and responsibilities: Design, configure, and implement an Asset and Configuration Management Database that integrates seamlessly with existing Asset Management systems.
Define and establish best practices for asset and configuration management within the organization.
Create and maintain the base level for configuration items (CIs) and related information in the CMDB.
Ensure that all ICT hardware and software assets are known, recorded, and easily accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Maintain and manage the relationships between CIs, ensuring accurate representation of the services, systems, and applications utilized by the business.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration and alignment of IT services.
Configure workflows and notifications within the ITSM tool to streamline asset and configuration management processes.
Ensure workflows align with organizational objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to asset and configuration management processes, policies, and guidelines.
Generate regular reports on asset status, CI relationships, and compliance with ITIL standards.
Ensure adherence to ITIL practices and standards in all asset and configuration management activities.
Conduct regular audits and reviews of the CMDB and asset records to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Provide training and mentorship to team members and IT staff on asset and configuration management best practices and tools.
Act as a point of contact for advanced queries related to asset management and the CMDB.
Requirements Qualifications : National Diploma in IT or equivalent (mandatory).
ITIL Intermediate Certification (mandatory).
ITIL Managers/Expert Certification (advantageous).
Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent preferred).
Experience : 8+ years of relevant experience in IT asset management, configuration management, or related roles.
Proven experience in designing and managing CMDBs and ITSM tools.
Strong understanding of ITIL principles, especially related to Asset and Configuration Management.
Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy) and asset management systems.
Proficiency in configuring workflows and notifications within ITSM platforms.
