Job Description – Senior Interior Designer and Team Leader
Key Responsibilities

Producing design work in sketch form and/or detail using AutoCAD/Revit/Sketchup.
Taking and compiling a brief from clients.
Measure site surveys and manage your team on site.
Produce concept design proposals that relate to the brief and budget constraints.
Workshopping concept proposals with the Project Principal and/or teams.
Hand-drawn sketches, materials, and colour palette selections.
Concept boards and final perspectives; ability to produce hand-drawn sketches as well as computer-generated images is preferable.
Technical drawings for projects, including detail resolution.
Finishes and soft selections.
Snagging and closing off the project.
Working with set budgets and programmes.
Produce written summaries of projects.
Project management and documentation of your projects.
Maintain a diary and detailed record of all meetings, notes, and correspondence with clients, colleagues, contractors, and professionals.
Attend meetings within and outside of the office.
Travel nationally and internationally for project-related reasons if required.
Presenting to clients.
Maintain a neat and tidy appearance and professional dress code at all times.
Ensure that dealings with all company business contacts are conducted in a professional manner.
General office administration work.
Manage your two teams and communicate with all other divisions within the company.
Hold team members accountable to deliver upon commitments.
Demonstrate the need for open and direct communication, ensuring that team communications are consistent and thorough.
Regularly review sets of the team's deliverables for accuracy, efficiency, and thoroughness.
Take initiative to make positive changes and assist the team in producing quality projects.
Market the business to new potential clients at every opportunity.
Have your own transport supported by a full driving licence.
Attend all disciplinary hearings regarding your team members.

Requirements:

Experience in AutoCAD/Revit/Sketchup.
7+ years experience.
Contactable references.
Preferable to have own car and valid driver's licence.
Immediately available.
Must reside in Cape Town.
