About Engage Video Group Engage Video Group is a technology-driven social media video business combining data and creativity to create content people really care about. We have worked with global corporations such as Unilever and NESTLÉ to produce the most engaging, shareable content for some of the world's largest brands, and have built and own the largest food and recipe social media platform in Africa, Foodies of SA.
At the end of 2022, we embarked on a new journey exploring the possibilities outside of food. Our Purpose We believe the advertising industry has a problem: people hate ads. This is why ad-centric content is polluting our social feeds and leading to customer mistrust. By tapping into audience data and testing our content against this audience in real time, we're able to create optimised content around topics customers really care about, in the format they love to watch.

Role Overview: The Senior Analyst plays a key role within the reporting team, responsible for overseeing the creation of high-quality, client-facing reports and leading strategic data analysis efforts. You will take ownership of more complex campaigns and larger clients, with cross-departmental collaborations, ensuring that both quantitative and qualitative insights are clearly communicated to the rest of the company & clients. The Senior Analyst will mentor analysts ensuring accuracy, strategic alignment, and storytelling excellence in all deliverables.
5 Key Responsibilities Advanced Reporting & Insight Generation:Lead the creation of comprehensive reports for high-priority clients, integrating both quantitative and qualitative insights to craft impactful narratives.Ensure reports are aligned with client & brand objectives and, alongside the strategy team, provide actionable recommendations to drive future strategies.Data Analysis & Trend Identification:Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform client strategies and internal decision-making.Leverage advanced analytical techniques to generate deeper insights, focusing on ROI, campaign performance, and business impact.Stay updated with industry trends and benchmark data, integrating these into insights that can enhance client reporting and strategy.Reporting Framework Development:Support your senior with building and regularly reviewing the reporting framework, including the cadence of reporting, reporting processes, and scoping of achievable timelines (in collaboration with the Delivery team).Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:Support your senior in leading cross-functional collaboration efforts by facilitating strong working relationships between the Reporting team, Sales, Creative, and Data Science teams.Present reports and insights to both internal teams and clients, ensuring the strategic value of the data is clearly understood.Mentoring & Development:Provide mentorship and guidance to peers and junior members, helping them refine their analytical skills and storytelling abilities.Review and provide feedback on reports, ensuring they meet high standards of accuracy, insight, and clarity before submission to clients.Play a critical role in building a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging learning, development, and excellence across the team.Skills & Competencies: Advanced Data Analysis: Expertise in analysing complex data sets, identifying trends, and generating actionable insights.Report Writing & Storytelling: Strong experience in crafting compelling narratives that translate data into meaningful client insights.Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Ability to lead and coordinate efforts across teams, ensuring insights are accurately integrated.Mentorship & Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.Presentation Skills: Confident and clear communicator, capable of presenting insights to both clients and internal stakeholders.Key Attributes: Strategic Thinker: Able to think beyond the data and understand its implications for broader business strategy.Collaborative Leader: A natural leader who encourages teamwork, innovation, and a results-driven approach.Client-Focused: Strong understanding of client needs, always aiming to exceed expectations through insightful and actionable reports.Continuous Learner: Constantly seeking to improve through staying on top of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.Other important details: Location: Cape TownType: Full-timeStart date: As soon as possible
