Minimum requirements for the role:Tertiary qualification in human resources or related is essential for the role.Previous senior HR management experience, with experience working within a senior HR leadership role ideally within a manufacturing company is essential.Previous experience having worked within the plastic or related manufacturing industries is preferred for the role.The successful candidate must have sound knowledge of payroll processes.Must have knowledge of sound HR practices, strategy, and technology, policy and process development, business and human resources projects.The successful candidate must have leadership methodology being able to lead organisational change.Must be able to drive metrics development and management at board level reporting.Must have a tested knowledge of South Africas labour law, pragmatic application of industrial relations and be able to represent the company at union engagements, CCMA, etc.Previous experience in building strong and productive relationships with unions is essential and employee and industrial relations experience having worked with demonstrated success in negotiations with unions is essential.Previous experience having had good IR background with union engagement is essential.Previous experience having taken ownership and delivery of the HR agenda is essential.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Strategically leading, driving and managing all HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy within this manufacturing company.Developing and implementing an integrated stakeholder engagement model.Providing high quality diagnosis, consultation, guidance, and support in developing and progressing peopleLeading the development and implementation of cutting-edge human capital programs and systems.Analysing performance metrics like statistics on employee retention and experience to come up with ideas for improvements and enhancements.Improving organisational effectiveness through the development and deployment of solutions to enhance leadership, improve productivity, drive a performance culture.Designing and implementing an HR operating model and organizational structure to improve HR process efficiency.Overseeing recruitment processes, ensuring productivity and effective performance.Driving employee engagement and performance in the organization.Spearheading projects related to compensation plan revisions, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and employee needs.Implementing functional human resources management systems and internal databases across all departments across the business.Overseeing the payroll function to ensure effective and accurate monthly payroll processes.Developing and implementing payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Managing employee relations issues, providing guidance on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.Developing and implementing strategies to promote a positive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction.Managing and optimising the HR budget, ensuring all expenditure is in line with the agreed and approved budgets.Analysing cost drivers and embarking on cost containment initiatives, providing feedback to leadership team on identified solutions to increase profits and protect against human capital risks.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
