Ensure all reports are compliant with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Assist with other reporting requirements from lenders, shareholders, etc. Regulatory/legal compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and ensure all financial practices adhere to local and international accounting IFRS standards. In conjunction with the CFO, successfully managed audits with no significant findings. Efficient Processing: Handle all day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations, with exceptional discipline and reliability. Ensure high accuracy and efficiency in processing transactions. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting workflows and financial reporting processes. Enhance efficiency and accuracy in processing tasks and reporting timelines. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and forecasts to support business strategy and decision-making. Provide insights on trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and present findings to the CFO. Budget Management: Prepare and monitor the group's budgets. Address and resolve financial inquiries or issues promptly. Requirements COMPETENCIES Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations. Proficient in financial reporting, consolidation, and processing. Experienced with Xero accounting software and compiling financial statements in Caseware. Self-Sufficiency: Ability to manage and perform both oversight and hands-on accounting tasks independently. EXPERIENCE Proven experience as a senior accountant or similar role, supporting CFO. Experience in dealing with African countries is preferred but not required. Xero accounting software experience is preferred but not required. Experience in compiling financial statements in CaseWare is required. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred (pivot tables, macros) but not required. Experience in working with financial models is preferred but not required. COMPENSATION Compensation is highly dependent on experience, skills, and overall competence. Annual CTC between R900k-R720k incl quarterly discretionary bonus.
