Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Degree in finance with minimum of five years hands on experience, working in a research grants environment developing budget and management of staffComputer literacy in MS Office Excel (Advanced) and valid drivers licenseMinimum 3 years working knowledge of SAP or similar financial packageExperience drafting Standard Operating Procedures and PoliciesExcellent verbal and written communication; proficiency in EnglishStrong planning and organizing skills and deadline drivenAbility to multitask, and work under pressureAbility to work independently and accurately with minimal supervisionThe successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:Day-to-day administration and management of all budgets in the pipelineUnderstand, interpret and advise on donor/funder budget requirementsReview synopsis of the protocol and compile a detailed budget with justification in line with funders requirements and restrictionsCoordinate with collaborating departments and external institutions in the preparation of grant proposals to ensure that all costings and justifications are completed in a timely manner to enable consolidation of the applicationEnsure all applications meet the organizational criteria with respect to overheads and cost recovery, and advising of full economic costing where appropriateMaintain communication with all relevant role players to address questions, concerns and ensure budget and due diligence tasks and deadlines are adhered toEnsure that budgets are submitted in line with requirements and within the required deadlinesDevelop Strategic and operational budgetAttend the Faculty Meetings to provide PIs with updates on pipelineReview award letters / raise any variances and management of staffEnsure contract tracking system is updatedSalary: Market related Please email detailed CV and supporting documentation and salary requirements through to
