Job Title : Senior Fire Engineer Location : KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Job Description : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fire Engineer to join our client's team in KwaZulu-Natal.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire protection systems and engineering, with the ability to manage and deliver complex fire safety solutions for a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities : Design, develop, and implement fire safety systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and suppression systems.
Conduct fire risk assessments and provide recommendations for fire protection strategies.
Ensure compliance with local fire codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to integrate fire safety systems into building designs.
Perform fire engineering calculations and simulations.
Oversee fire safety system installations and ensure quality control during construction phases.
Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
Prepare detailed fire safety reports and documentation.
Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in fire engineering, with proven experience in designing and implementing fire safety systems.
In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations, standards, and building codes.
Strong communication and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Fire Protection Engineer, CFPS) are a plus.
