Senior Financial Manager / Finance Director Job DescriptionAn importer for the mining and agricultural industry is currently recruiting a Senior Finance Manager to act as a key business partner and become the FD in 2025. Responsible for providing business performance analysis and managing the sales & operations planning process. This is a full-time permanent position based in Pretoria East.Key ResponsibilitiesMonthly volume and rolling forecast cycle for total company, including partnering with the Key accounts and marketing team and reporting back to management.Ownership of full P&L including forecasting, reporting (month end) and variance analysis. Including but not limited to Gross to Net sales, distribution, marketing, admin, & selling expenses.Non-financial reporting and forecasting.Seasonal analysis around volume, portfolio, pricing and tracking.Lead the budget and latest estimate process within the organisation.Support the Executive team with various projects and ad-hoc analysis throughout the year.RequirementsFinance degreeA minimum of 7 years' experience, at least 2 years' managing a team, preferably in the import industry;Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills and attention to detailStrong Excel skills, systems experience considered to be a distinctive advantageUnderstanding of cash flow forecasting due to importing from USA is crucial.Personal CharacteristicsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills - able to influence and communicate clearly at all levels, and across all departments;Proactive attitude and ability to identify project opportunities, propose them and complete them;Methodical and structured approach to tasks;Able to set priorities and clear targets;Able to grow with the level of responsibilities and with the size and structure of the business
