SENIOR FINANCIAL INCLUSION SPECIALIST 1.2 Million AnnuallyThe Senior Financial Inclusion Specialist will be responsible for providing strategic project and programme management support to the Financial Inclusion Programme Lead. The role requires a candidate with a deep understanding of financial inclusion, a proven track record in project management, and the ability to lead and mentor junior staff.Analyse South Africa's Financial Inclusion TrendsExecute and Oversee ProjectsCreate detailed plans for implementing projects, focusing on deliverables and deadlinesProvide oversight and direction throughout the project lifecycleTrack project progress to ensure it aligns with plans and budgetsGather insights from project outcomes to guide future policy, legislative, and regulatory adjustments for sustaining initiativesContribute to Financial Inclusion DiscussionsBuild and Maintain Stakeholder Relationships: Develop strong connections with key stakeholders in South Africa, including policymakers, regulators, financial service providers, and donorsAssist with time management and expenditure tracking against project plans and budgetsAct as the link between the Project team, Data and Finance teams when requiredLead projects in these areas and handle additional tasks as neededMinimum QualificationsA degree in finance, development finance, economics, project management or related fieldsMinimum of 8 years of professional experience in financial inclusion, with a focus on project managementUnderstanding of market and systemic challenges to financial inclusion in Africa and best practices for addressing them, including M4P (Markets for the Poor) and facilitating market systemsProven experience in leading and managing a teamStrong analytical and strategic thinking skillsExcellent speaking, writing and interpersonal skillsExcellent research and report-writing skillsExperience with data analyses including demand side, supply side and regulatory dataIn-depth knowledge of the financial services sector within the Southern African regionPersonal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, and teamwork spirit with the ability to work independently or under minimum supervision
