Senior Financial Administrator: DHET Projects and Grants (Grade 10) - 3 Year Contract Finance Division The Finance Division invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team.
Main Objectives To provide seamless financial administrative support relating to accounting and administration of DHET UCDP grants and projects. Additional responsibilities may include other DHET-related projects. The incumbent will perform tasks that include the creation, maintenance, monitoring, and financial reporting of projects within the University's financial systems.
The Requirements Grade 12, plus a pass in Accountancy OR if Accountancy was not a subject in Grade 12, a post-matric higher certificate or diploma in Accounting, with at least 4 years of relevant experience where such experience includes:
National Diploma or higher qualification in Financial Accounting or similar field a distinct advantage.Analyzing accounts, identifying problems, and recommending and preparing corrections/journals.Producing information for financial and related reporting purposes.Demonstrating knowledge of the procure-to-pay process, from purchase order to delivery to payment.Working within a computerized accounting environment, with advanced level of Excel.Administration of and financial reporting of projects.Experience working in a Higher Education environment is an advantage.Experience working on an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Financial System is an advantage e.g., Oracle Cloud, SAP etc.Application Process It is essential that prospective candidates read the job profile for further information and ensure that all relevant documentation is submitted.
