Senior Financial Accountant

Job Description:As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:Assist in preparing the monthly management account packs and evaluate the financial performanceContinuously strive to improve the quality and timeliness of financial information presentedCompile a monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation fileSupport the implementation of systems for monthly reporting across the various divisionsAnalyze and identify incurred costs and compare it to budgetsReview reconciled expenditure reportsEnsure all invoices are captured by debtors and creditorsApprove all payments processed by creditorsEnsure aging on supplier age analysis is correct after cashbook has been updatedWeekly petty cash reconciliationVerify all electronic bank paymentsPerform periodic float checks at the cash desksEnsure refunds are being approvedMaintain refunds timeouslyProvide training and guidance to the finance teamCompile the monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation fileAny additional ad-hoc tasks as required by management Skills & Experience: 3 years of experience in a similar positionHospitality, tourism or property experience would be highly advantageousProficiency in MS officeQualification:PA(SA) or CA(SA) designation would be beneficialRelevant Finance or Accounting degreeGrade 12 (Matric) Contact JENELLE COOKSON on
