Senior Financial Accountant

Our client is a prominent player in the financial services industry with a strong reputation built over years of successful operation. They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg North. You will be integral to managing financial accounting functions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance financial performance and support strategic decision-making. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining accurate financial reporting and driving the organizations financial strategy. Are you up for the challenge? Duties: Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including VAT submissions and other tax obligations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Oversee foreign exchange transactions and reporting, analysing impacts on financial performance and advising on currency risk management.Facilitate internal and external audits by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, supporting informed business decisions. Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications: BCom Accounting Degree.SAICA or SAIPA articles. Experience:6 years post-articles experience in a similar role.
