Senior Financial Accountant

A dynamic and innovative leader in the financial services industry is currently looking for a detail orientated Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. The main purpose of this role is to ensure accurate financial management, tax compliance, and reporting to support strategic decision-making within the organization . Duties: Manage full financial accounting processes, including general ledger maintenance, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations. Oversee tax-related matters, including VAT calculations, submissions, and SARS queries. Prepare and submit VAT and tax returns through SARS eFiling. Handle foreign exchange transactions and reporting. Prepare financial reports using CaseWare. Ensure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide accurate financial data and analysis. Qualifications & Skills: BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent). Minimum 4 years of experience in tax-related accounting functions. Strong experience in VAT and tax submissions. Proficiency in CaseWare for financial reporting. Experience with foreign exchange (forex) transactions.
