Senior Financial Accountant

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the company. You will be responsible for managing a high volume of transactions, leading a finance team, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role requires a proactive individual who can implement processes and controls to optimize financial performance and support the company's growth.This role is based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg East.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting: Oversee and prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, ensuring efficient workflow and high performance.Transaction Management: Handle and review a high volume of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.Process Implementation: Develop and implement robust financial processes and controls to streamline operations and mitigate risks.Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.Audit & Compliance: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.Qualifications and Experience Needed:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably within the construction industry.Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and developing teams.Experience in handling high volumes of transactions and implementing financial controls.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
