Senior Finance Manager

Purpose: Our company is seeking to employ a seasoned financial manager with strong business acumen to oversee the financial management of a company.
The Financial Manager will be responsible for the financial oversight, through development, implementation of systems and controls in finance areas to achieve business outcomes.
The role is suitable for a technically strong finance professional with senior operations experience, established leadership skills and ability to adapt and work with people from different backgrounds and experiences.
Main duties Adhere to sound financial principles in addition to implementing sound financial principles for the business.
Assume responsibility for finance work streams to support operations and ensure all financial aspects have been adequately considered.
Implement, manage and review controls to improve financial oversight over business activities.
Support General Manager in the execution of business strategies and objectives.
Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, team members, suppliers, packhouses, and other managers within the group.
Support business activities such as harvests, planting, and day to day activities with planning and financial oversight.
Active management and monitoring of costs such as labour, fertilizer costs, stock, electricity usage, wear and tear on vehicles and equipment.
Assume responsibility for the preparation of budgets and subsequent management thereof.
Manage budgets and cash flow, including management of creditors and revenue collection.
Oversee and managing processing of transactions within Sage and supervision of finance teams and ensure that accounting records are kept up to date.
People development and upskilling.
Manage payroll, including leave, overtime and other allowances where applicable.
Monitor compliance with labour regulations and tax, PAYE Prepare monthly financial reports and variance reports to group financial manager.
Prepare and file VAT returns.
Prepare board financial packs and management accounts.
Support in the preparation of statutory audits.
Continually seek and make recommendations to improve the control environment.
Location: Tzaneen (Limpopo) Minimum BCom or CIMA qualification.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a financial management role, preferably within a farming environment.
Demonstrated experience in end-to-end financial oversight over a sizeable business.
