Senior Finance Manager (CA) – Newlands / Claremont, Western Cape (Hybrid)Competitive package on offer!Our Client, a Global Investment Firm, is currently in search of a high performing, technically sound and results orientated Senior FM to join their SA Finance team.You will be responsible for leading their dynamic finance team as well as ensuring that the interim and annual audits are accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner, reported on for the Group.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the finance team members and provide guidance and trainingOrganise resources to meet objectives and optimise workload within teamsRefine and enhance existing accounting systems and processes and provide guidance and assistance on complex reporting itemsAssist with the preparation of memos / detailed accounting analysis for transactions setting out the accounting principles to be applied.Communicate and co-ordinate monthly deadline and deliverable dates to meet reporting deadline commitmentsPreparation of reporting packs, annual financial statements, and governance reports and management informationDeep dive analysis and timely compilation of the monthly management information, including ensuring all entries processed and accounts reconciled using financial and non-financial information from various data sourcesAssist the team with special ad-hoc reporting requirements and requestsCompare actual performance to budget and prior year and explain variancesPreparation of business plans and forecastsEfficient, accurate & timely budget preparation and review (including analysis and preparation of budget overview presentation)Management/execution of ad hoc projects including:Implement efficiencies and enhance control environment to manage financial and business riskStress test results to assess the impact of potential risk scenariosRegulatory reportingEnhance control environment to manage financial and business riskCo-ordinate successful annual audit process and preparation of audit and annual and interim financial statementsPrepare the consolidated audit packEnsure processes in place to ensure consistent treatment across the groupPrepare reporting packs, annual integrated report and annual financial statements in terms of IFRSPrepare documentation for the auditors: impairment reviews, impact of future accounting policiesVAT/Corporate Tax complianceKeeping abreast of industry development/technologiesQualifications & ExperienceCA (SA) qualification with 5 years plus post article experience gained with relevant experience gained in the financial services sector with experience gained in the sustainability / energy / infrastructure arena being advantageous!Strong knowledge of complex accounting standardsProficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essentialAdvanced knowledge of accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics)Proven and solid financial reporting skillsProven ability to implement efficiencies which enhance the control environment in order to manage financial and business riskAbility to work in a fast-paced, performance driven environmentDevotion to quality: Demanding a high quality of provided services, and acting accordinglyPerforming under pressure: maintaining an effective performance under pressure, or when faced with setbacks and disappointmentStructuring: applying, implementing and maintaining work structure in day-to-day businessResults oriented: being focused on achieving objectives and results, persevering in the face of adversityProviding Feedback: giving perspective to others by sharing one's views on their performanceAnalysing and forming opinions: being focused on examining matters in a systematic waySituational Awareness: demonstrate being well informed about development in one's environment and effectively using this information for one's own organizationResults Orientation: being focused on achieving objectives and results, persevering in the face of adversity
