Senior Facilities Manager - Western Cape, Cape Town

The Senior Facilities Manager will act as 2IC to the Head of Facilities, overseeing hard services and ensuring the maintenance, safety, and compliance of all facilities. This role includes managing a team of Facilities Managers and driving operational excellence, budget control, and strategic planning.Key Responsibilities:Hard Services Management:Lead the maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire safety systems. Ensure health and safety standards are met, with up-to-date compliance records for all assets.Team Leadership:Oversee Facilities Managers, providing guidance and performance management to uphold high standards.Budgeting and Financial Oversight:Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective maintenance within financial targets. Approve quotes and monitor expenses for all facilities operations.Project and Vendor Management:Coordinate projects, manage external contractors, and oversee quality assurance for timely project delivery.Reporting and Strategic Support:Report on facility metrics and risks, supporting the Head of Facilities in strategic asset management.Qualifications and Skills:Education: Diploma or degree in Building Science, Engineering, or related field.Experience: 7+ years in facilities management, with a focus on hard services and team supervision.Technical Knowledge: Expertise in electrical and mechanical infrastructure, BMS, and project management.Leadership: Proven abilities in team management, financial oversight, and stakeholder relations.Desired Skills:Technical Knowledge: Expertise in electrical and mechanical infrastructureBMSProject managementLeadership: Proven abilities in team managementStakeholder relations7+ years in facilities management with a focus on hard services and team supervision.
