Senior Estimator / Qs

Job DescriptionOur client is looking for an astute Senior Estimator/QS who will be responsible for analysis, net variance and ad-hoc activities aligned with the project implementation process. The Senior Estimator/QS will be responsible for consulting with key stakeholders to formulate project estimates, and to report at regular intervals in terms of cost effectiveness.Key Performance AreasThe Senior Estimator/QS will be reporting directly to the Cost Management Lead in performing the assigned duties in terms of the project implementation process for site rebranding.Role and ResponsibilitiesPreparation and estimates budget costs by evaluating plans and specificationsAssistance with preparation of budgets for bulk productionConduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, production times, etc.Working on final account for clientReview offers and quotes by subcontractors in relation to procurementPrepare estimates for time, cost, materials, and labour to be used for purposes such as planning, organizing and scheduling workAssess cost effectiveness procurement detail as the project developsQualifications and ExperienceRelevant tertiary qualification (Construction studies/Quantity Surveying)5+ years of relevant experienceExperience leading a teamExperience working in multidisciplinary teamsProject management experience and use of project management softwareAbility to critically analyse project needs and issues, and report to team leadAbility to liaise with key stakeholders on site
