Senior Estimator

Our client is looking for a Senior Estimator to support sales efforts through the preparation of accurate and relevant estimates related to Air, Ocean, Road Import and Export for clients and requests from within the company. Ensure follow through of estimate feedback which provides the insight to evaluate estimate and pricing results to improve the company tender success rate and competitiveness. Responsibilities:Overseeing the entire estimating process, from bid solicitation to final cost analysis.Thoroughly reviewing project plans, specifications, and scope of work to understand project requirements.Developing accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.Identifying potential risks and developing contingency plans to mitigate them.Managing relationships with subcontractors, soliciting bids, and negotiating contracts.Mentoring junior estimators and providing guidance on estimating techniques.Skills:Good communicationLeadershipAnalytical Skills:Proficient in quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and pricing.Ability to develop complex cost models.Qualifications: 5 - 10 years Forwarding and Clearing experienceBachelor's degree: In fields like civil engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, or a related discipline.Certifications: While not always required, certifications like Quantity Surveyor (QS) or Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) can enhance credibility.
