Job Description KEY ROLE: WSP are seeking a Senior Engineer who specialises in Water and Wastewater Engineering for infrastructure projects to expand the growth of our expertise and technical capability.
We support clients and projects throughout Africa and the UK with a focus on high profile infrastructure projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Engineering Management and Project Management of water and wastewater projects Design of water and wastewater related infrastructure, including water and wastewater treatment process Compiling of tender and contractual documents, design reports and due diligence reports Management of Water Conservation and Water Demand Management (WCWDM) projects Grow client relationships and attend client progress meetings Project management and interfacing with other engineering disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects Keep up to date with industry advances, and be aware of policy and technical developments in this discipline HEALTH AND SAFETY Upholding standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company's health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing those around you.
Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm.
Embracing, displaying and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
  Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of a B Eng.
/ BSc (Civil Eng) ECSA Registration (Pr Eng) will be an advantage Minimum 5-7 years' experience in water and wastewater engineering industry Knowledge of the relevant standards, regulations and legislation in the water field Experience in masterplanning, feasibility, and design aspects of water projects Experience in Water Conservation and Water Demand Management (WCWDM) Experience in water strategic advisory services Experience in water infrastructure asset management KEY COMPETENCIES AND GENERIC SKILLS: Excellent written and verbal communication; Team player; Strong analytical ability; Takes ownership and accountability with the ability to deliver requested work within deadlines; Good engineering judgement; Exhibits leadership (technical or managerial); Be able to prioritise, work on several tasks and work under pressure.
