Senior Engineer - GMR 2.1 Mining/Minerals/Metals ~ Manufacturing

You will provide structure and coordination for SHERQ policy and actions related to the safe operation and maintenance of on-site plant and equipment.
The role involves advising senior management on compliance, conducting incident investigations, and ensuring adherence to legal regulations and maintenance procedures.
You will manage GMR 2.7a appointees, monitor statutory compliance, and promote collaboration among maintenance and operations teams.
Responsibilities also include developing and coordinating the implementation of legal compliance programs, maintaining relationships with regulatory and government agency personnel, and ensuring legal appointments and operating procedures within the company to meet all requirements. Additionally, you will oversee the Maintenance Transformation process on-site and chair the monthly Maintenance Forum.
QualificationsB-Eng Degree (NQF8) Mechanical / Electrical EngineeringGovernment Certificate of Competency (GCC Factories)Experience4 years of relevant experience in a Maintenance Environment within Operations5 Years experience as a GMR 2.7a appointee within Operations or currently a GMR 2.1 AppointeeProject Management experience will be an advantageExperience, knowledge and understanding of the OHSAS 18001:2007, ISO14001:2004, ISO9001:2008Proficient in SAP EAMSound financial management capabilitiesSeniority levelMid-Senior level
