Senior Electronical Engineer/ System Engineer : Military Vehicle Design

SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER/ SYSTEM ENGINEER: Military Vehicle/ Automotive engineer Midrand An experienced Electrical/Electronic engineer is required to perform design and system engineering activities within the Military Automotive design and manufacturing field. Experience in product development, manufacturing, and project management. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: BEng /Btech in Electronic Engineering, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering 5-15 years of design experience in the military Automotive field. Unigraphics or other 3D CAD experience Siemens Team Centre 11 or relevant PDM system experience no criminal record South African Citizen RESPONSIBILITIES Electrical design aspects of vehicles Generated user requirements and design specifications. Compliance testing (Environmental and EMC) and compile test reports. Acceptance of test documentation and procedures for the complete electrical system Establish new electrical suppliers and manufacturers, and assist with manufacturing processes, BOMs, test equipment, and quality assurance processes. Design electrical system architecture and concepts. Selected components and designed man-machine interface. Resolve problematic fielded systems (local and international). Project engineering Provided technical support to internal departments and suppliers. Contribute to the companys Continuous Improvement Initiatives. Designed new and innovative sub-systems and components. Mentor design engineers and generated "best practices" Contribute to the companys LEAN implementation.
