SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER Position: Senior Electrical Engineer

JOB SUMMARY As a Snr Electrical Engineer, you will be required to offer your expertise within the electrical engineering aspect on a number of turnkey projects throughout the African Continent. You will be involved at the conceptual stage of projects to allow for accurate budgeting and project planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide technical consulting services to our customers. Produce and integrate engineering solutions/designs for asset creation on behalf of customers at various stages of the project life cycle. Conduct technical evaluations, supporting planning, design, and construction. Perform project administration including:
Preparing reports, Gathering information, Drafting proposals, Drafting correspondence, Completing progress reports. Design and implement the pumping system of the water abstraction plant including the piping to the water treatment plant. Design and implement the pumping system of the water treatment plant and assist in the construction of the water treatment systems (e.g., Sedimentation tanks, Flocculators, etc.). Design and implement the chemical dosing pumping systems. Design and implement the pumping system from the water treatment plant to the booster station. Follow safe work practices and use company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner that ensures personal safety, as well as the safety of fellow employees. Advise, design and implement all the required mechanical structures of the water treatment plant. Interface with project managers and other engineering fields on the design and implementation of the project. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering. PrEng (ECSA Registered as a professional Engineer). Experience in managing a team of junior engineers and a minimum of 15 years in engineering design, management, and construction. Minimum 10 years experience in performing electrical/mechanical design. Extensive experience in design and construction of steel water pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, abstraction works, and water treatment plants. Legal knowledge of Employee Equity Act, Labour and Employment laws, OHS Act, and design compliance standards. Proficiency in the use of MS Office, MS Project, and various electrical and water design software. Driver's Licence is essential. Quality Management Ensure that there is ISO compliance. Regular inter-provincial and international site visits and meetings. Salary is negotiable.
