Scope:
You will work remotely but travel internationally. The ideal candidate must be available to travel extensively from project to project. You will report to the Head of Engineering and be focused on calculating and developing the best engineering solutions on the basis of the contract, as well as producing drawings and generating order lists. You will be the point of contact for sales, production, logistics, suppliers, and implementers during the course of the projects and perform R&D work. You will also supervise, mentor, and train the other engineers when needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum an Electrical Engineering degree and professional registration, with strong design capabilities and good management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Calculating the required electrical systems, such as switchboards, cable reticulation & supporting systems, lighting plans, integration with PLC's (including I/O lists and communication networks).
Calculating electrical demands and load profiles.
Producing electrical diagrams and drawings, including drawing packages for contractors & sub-contractors.
Selecting components that meet the design and budget requirements and compiling accurate order lists (BOMs).
Consultation with the sales, production, and implementation departments regarding the organization and progress of the projects to be implemented.
Compliance with the schedule, budget, technical specifications, and quality requirements of the projects.
Making adjustments in response to additional demands that emerge during the implementation of the project; registration of contract variations.
Be able to support the Project Manager in preparing work schedules and allocating resources, as well as supervising junior engineers.
Documenting processes and presenting project progress updates to senior managers and clients if needed.

Respect the deadlines agreed upon with the rest of the team (Technical Manager and Project Manager).
Minimize variance from the contract.
Meet the technical specifications.
Skills and Knowledge:
Electrical Engineering degree and professional registration.
Knowledge of the relevant working packages (Inventor/Solid Works/Navisworks/SEE electrical).
Knowledge of the greenhouse construction industry - preferable.
Able to work independently and accurately.
Able to think analytically and convert it into solutions.
Possess a positive "can-do" attitude.
Ability to manage multiple, complex activities.
Ability to plan & organize activities, multi-task, and follow through on commitments.
Team player with strong customer interpersonal skills.
Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
Languages:
Fluent in English & Afrikaans (speak and write).
At least 3 years of experience in the relevant field.
