Job Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Assets Technical Solutions Department (ATSD). Your primary role will be to develop plans and processes to ensure facilities' electrical equipment and systems throughout its lifecycle to reduce safety, environmental and economic risk, while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes and standards. You will also be responsible for providing technical support on high-priority electrical issues.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a lifecycle management program and database for critical electrical equipment.
Manage and maintain the corporate arc flash hazard mitigation program and conduct audits.
Provide technical expertise and participate in failure investigations to capture outcomes and share them with other facilities to eliminate recurring electrical equipment failures.
Develop and manage centralized service contracts for critical assets such as UPS, ATS, Battery Charger, Excitation, and MV cables testing.
Manage the performance of Cogeneration assets and lead technical programs, studies, and assessments.
Requirements
This role requires a candidate to permanently relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in refining/petrochemical industries.
Preferred experience in performing electrical power system studies utilizing ETAP modeling.
Essential familiarity with electrical maintenance and troubleshooting practices for industrial electrical systems.
Experience with specification, application, and maintenance of up to 15kV class electrical equipment.
Preferred knowledge of power generation (cogeneration), power distribution, and power automation.
Familiarity with electrical safety, arc flash hazards mitigation, hazardous area classification, power generation, distribution, and protection, motors and motor controls, AC/DC systems, electrical studies, and industry standards (NEC, IEC, NFPA, IEEE, NEMA, API, etc.).
