Job Description AESG are seeking a passionate and driven Senior Electrical Engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity to work within AESG's award-winning Sustainable Engineering Department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and a willingness to work across multiple disciplines and industries to drive the market towards more sustainable development.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing electrical engineering projects, with a focus on sustainability and digitalisation in design. The successful candidate will form part of AESG's dynamic Sustainable Engineering department located in our Dubai headquarters. The role will include independent project management of complex design and construction projects, covering all aspects of electrical engineering, so confidence in client management with a clear vision of how to develop and manage an electrical engineering team is essential.
The ideal candidate fits the below profile: Motivated and self-driven (entrepreneurial outlook)Committed to technical excellenceGood relationship builders (internal and external)Responsibilities: Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring that they meet sustainable and digitalisation requirementsAct as key point of contact for clients as an MEP lead engineer with responsibility for technical and commercial delivery of projectsProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineersDevelop in-house systems and workflows with a strong focus on automated design via Dynamo, Python or similarCoordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project requirements are metUtilise Revit software to create and manage electrical engineering models and drawingsStay current on industry trends and developments related to sustainable electrical engineering and digitalisationStrong knowledge and experience in Revit softwareStrong understanding of project commercial control, resource planning & project managementStrong leadership and project management skillsStrong understanding of sustainable engineering principles and practicesFamiliarity with UAE and regional building codesEssential skills: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with further post-graduate education desirable (e.g., Master's degree), along with demonstrated work experience within the fieldMinimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on sustainability and digitalisationExperience delivering LEED-certified or other building certification projects and have an excellent understanding of building systems performanceProfessional qualification and work experience with development, and/or implementation of Sustainability Rating Systems such as USGBC LEED, Mostadam, Passive House or equivalentProven track record of successfully leading a sustainability program, policies and regulatory frameworksThe candidate will be expected to work across numerous software platforms, including Revit, AMTECH, DIALUX and ETAPAESG is a multidisciplinary specialist consultancy, offering a consultancy service and work environment like no other.
