Job Title: Senior Draughtsman Airframe SystemsLocation: Cape town - Airport CitySalary: Market relatedVacancy Type: Full-TimeClosing date for applications: End Dec 2024Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.Minimum of 4 years of experience in a draughting role, within the aerospace or mechanical engineering industry.Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA, with a solid understanding of airframe systems.Beneficial requirements:Strong knowledge of engineering principles, technical drawing standards, and airframe structures.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Duties and responsibilities:Create and update detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings of airframe components and assemblies.Collaborate with engineers to interpret design specifications and produce accurate technical drawings.Conduct quality checks on all drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Maintain organized drawing files and documentation, ensuring version control and accessibility for project teams.Assist in design reviews, providing technical input and updates on project progress to ensure alignment with timelines and objectives.
