MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Design RF & Microwave subsystems such as power amplifiers, low phase noise synthesizers, up converters, low noise receivers, radar front ends, antennas and filters, to be implemented on Printed Circuit Boards, in waveguide or as coaxial components – as part of a multi-disciplinary project teamImplement, measure and evaluate prototype or production-ready designsAssist with industrialization of prototype designsSupport the system engineer with technical expertiseParticipate in system-level or conceptual designAct as RF element leader in a project teamArrange and participate in design reviewsPrepare and maintain documentation such as specifications, design data packs and test proceduresProvide/contribute to discipline-specific internal training where applicableProvide mentorship and technical guidance to other members of the discipline, including internsAssist with the technical aspects of the company proposal/quotation generation process for marketing and salesInitiate and/or participate in the establishment of critical technologies in the companyQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:A minimum of a three-year degree with honors or four year degree in RF Engineering, or Higher Education Engineering Diploma/Degree with demonstrated prior learning based on industry experiencePost graduate degree in engineering (Msc/MEng/PhD) is preferredMinimum 10 years' experience in RF & Microwave engineering, with relevant exposure to design and implementation, design methodologies, design baseline management, system engineering aspects, configuration management, quality assurance, relevant technologies and tools of tradeAntenna design experience will be advantageousStrong analytical design approachExperience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium Designer preferred)Experience with the following software will be advantageous: Microwave Office, CST, LT Spice, Matlab/Python, DOORSExperience with test equipment (e.g.
