Senior Data Scientist - Johannesburg – R900K To R1.1Mil Per Annum

Join the home of the #changeables as a Senior Data Scientist implementing designs for the shapeshifters and delivery of products and services.
You will be expected to build, optimise and implement innovative quantitative analytical methodologies, procedures, and advanced mathematical models that provide analytical support and interpret insights.
Responsibilities: Ability to write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data from relational databases efficiently.Strong analytical mindset with the capability to derive actionable insights from large datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.Experience in providing analytical insights to support operational decision-making processes, including but not limited to forecasting, optimisation, and performance monitoring.Proficiency in data manipulation techniques using coding languages like SQL, Python or R, including data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering.Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability to tackle complex business problems using data-driven approaches, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovationQualifications and Experience: Have a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar5+ years of experience as a Data ScientistExperience in SQL, SAS and Power BIHave experience with scorecardsHave experience with stakeholder engagementExperience with reportingThe Reference Number for this position is NG59258 which is a Permanent position based in Johannesburg offering a salary of R900k up to 1.1mil per annum, salary negotiable based on experience.
