An African financial services organisation that offers a broad spectrum of financial solutions and provides a great culture, leadership, learning opportunities, challenges, rewards, and recognition to its employees seeks a Senior Data Scientist who will be accountable for designing, producing, analysing, documenting, and enhancing a range of predictive models across the entire credit life cycle.Responsibilities:Understand and interpret business requirements and translate them into analytical reporting solutions.Play a leading role in the development and application of predictive models across the entire credit life cycle.Conduct continuous research aimed at identifying predictors and enhancing model development practices and techniques.Monitor and report on the effectiveness of scorecard strategies.Active Learner, Change Agility, Credit Risk Analysis, Data Science, Machine Learning, Predictive Modelling, Problem Solving & Analytical, Python Programming, R Code, SQL, Statistical Data Analysis.Qualifications and Experience:Degree with Stats / Math / Applied Maths / Financial Risk Management / Data Science / Engineering / Computer Science or related disciplines.An Honours / Masters would be advantageous.Minimum 5 years experience.Proficiency in one of SAS, R, or Python.Exposure to extracting data from databases is compulsory.Understanding & knowledge of predictive modelling practices, performance standards & methodologies.The Reference Number for this position is NG59603, which is a Permanent Hybrid position in Johannesburg offering a salary of R1mil up to R1.3mil CTC, negotiable based on experience.
