SynopsisJohannesburg and Surrounding Areas.Leading Financial Services Client requires a Senior Data Scientist who will be responsible for overseeing and completing the the full model development cycle, from extracting data up to presenting findings to relevant stakeholders.Job DescriptionMonitor performance portfolios, identifying trends and potential risksManaging the strategic direction of the portfolio by balancing both risk and sales objectivesOversee and take part in the development and maintenance of risk modelsBuilding scorecards and other credit risk modelsCollaborate with cross-function teamsMinimum RequirementsDegree in Mathematics, Statistics or related field5 Years experience in Credit Data Science in Retail or Financial ServicesGood understanding of credit risk models and machine learning techniquesGood understanding of IFRS9 principles and their application to credit riskStrong technical skills using software tools like Databricks, SQL, R or Python
