This role serves as the focal point for all Cybersecurity Governance & Compliance related activities and will report matters of Cybersecurity Governance and Compliance.
This role works closely with the IT team, the business, and other stakeholders to enhance Cybersecurity awareness.
The Cybersecurity Governance and Compliance Analyst will execute and maintain a Cybersecurity Governance and compliance program that proactively manages policy alignment, audits & assessments, and Cybersecurity risks to the enterprise.
Requirements Establish and Maintain Cybersecurity Governance and Compliance policies and standard operating procedures Continuously improve, strengthen and scale the company's Cybersecurity Governance and compliance program in coordination with internal and external teams and partners, prioritizing strategies that focus on improving quality and mitigating risks.
Carry out internal audits such as regular access rights reviews on critical systems and sample checks on Planned Preventative Maintenance activities (PPMs).
Identify and recommend improvement opportunities such as automating and monitoring compliance processes.
Take the lead on developing, maintaining, and updating IT Security strategies and controls.
Maintain security policies and standard operating procedures.
Create user documentation and training guides.
Ensure appropriate administrative, physical, and technical controls are in place to protect from internal and external threats.
Identify, introduce and implement appropriate security controls and test these controls on a regular basis.
Conduct periodic reviews and risk assessments to determine the extent to which key business areas and infrastructure comply with security control requirements.
Ensure that disaster recovery and incident response procedures are in place and tested on a regular basis.
Own the security incident response and vulnerability management processes.
Ensure effective staff training programs are in place to increase security awareness.
Maintain and monitor access and authorization controls for everyday operations.
Test security procedures, mechanisms, and controls.
Oversee and conduct ongoing security monitoring.
Evaluate and recommend new information security technologies and counter-measures.
Assist in project management activities within the IT Service Team.
Be hands-on for deploying, administering, and troubleshooting workstations, servers, enterprise hardware, software, and networks.
Establish working relationships with equipment suppliers and consultants.
Provide technical expertise and support to End Users Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required Must have experience with a security consulting practice, having developed and deployed security solutions to various organizations on a client basis.
At least 5 years of experience in a cyber role.
Experience with one or more of the following: threat intelligence, incident response, and/or vulnerability management preferred.
